Bean Town Ranch Wedding

Congratulations to Ryan & Alicia on there beautiful Fall wedding day. It’s been such a pleasure working with the both of them.

I decided to ask the bride a few questions and present the blog post, from the couples perspective 🙂

How Long Have You Been Together? “We have been together for 6 years! We actually picked October to get married because we know we started dating in October 2000 but can’t remember what the date is. We met as volunteers for the Psychology Student Association at Ottawa U – I was a frosh guide and Ryan was the President. When I moved to Toronto for school in 2012, Ryan followed the next year and we’ve been nerding it up together every since!”

How Did He Propose? “He proposed on our first trip together in Mexico last September. He dragged me out of bed early (I am the worst morning person) before an excursion to watch the sunrise from the beach at our resort. He had made a big deal the night before about how I couldn’t sleep in past my alarm otherwise we would miss it. I was so worried that I would sleep in and make him miss it that I slept badly and was extremely cranky on our walk to the beach. He asked me to go stand by the water so he could make sure the camera was pointing at the right spot to take a picture of us and when I turned back around, he was on one knee.”

What did you love about your venue? “We chose Bean Town for a ton of different reasons – it was the first venue we looked at and even though it was cold and rainy we fell in love with the whole place – the hall, the cottage, the pavilion and the chapel. We had only met with Guy and we could already tell that the staff were great at what they did. We also loved that they took care of so many aspects (set up, tear down, food, multiple ceremony site options), so we wouldn’t have too much to worry about from Toronto. It was also a fantastic place to show case fall colours! It’s hard to pick just one thing that we love the most, but I think the icing on the cake was how wonderful the staff were. We felt so well taken care of and everyone seemed truly excited for us.”
