From our first meeting & our “trips” to the Super Store, I’ve been waiting to photograph your special day. You are both so kindhearted & SWEET, I can’t say that enough about the both of you. And it’s like DOUBLE SWEET-lol, when you’re together in the same room. After meeting with you both & understanding the vision of your wedding day, I can honestly say, you chose the right venue. It completely meshed with your rustic & elegant feel. From the beautiful outdoor gardens & stunning reception area, wow this place is magical. Even the group of staff,  made the venue nothing shy of a family atmosphere.

Normally I would write a longer post, but your responses to my questions Kelly & Tom, are something everyone should read. So heartfelt and sweet, please see the notes below, from the Bride & Groom.

Again, congrats to you lovely people & your amazing friends & family

Notes from the Bride & Groom……

Would you like to share, how the engagement happened?

After a long day of work in March, Kelly opened the door to the apartment hoping to have a beer on the balcony with Tom, when she was struck with a runway of candles lighting the way to a bouquet of flowers. Not sure what to do, she remained frozen for a few seconds before Tom revealed himself from around the corner. Motioning for her to tiptoe her way around the candles, he went down on one knee and said something like:

“Everyday I remind myself how lucky I am to have found you. I cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. Kelly, will you marry me?”

How did you decide on your venue & what did you love about it?

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted an outdoor venue. This was one of the most important details for us. We chose Temples because the place is beautiful, the food is delicious, and most importantly the entire venue is ours for the day. Temples also has a small town feel that made both of us feel at home. The staff was very welcoming and they toured us around all aspects of the grounds, including the basement. We could tell by each other’s glances that this was where we are going to get married.

How would you describe your wedding in 3 words?

Atmosphere – Family, fun, intimate

Aesthetics – Rustic, floral, elegant

What are you looking forward to the most, on your wedding day?

We are both looking forward to bringing our two families together and having the opportunity to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with the people that we love and who have supported us through the years. We think that a wedding involves much more than just the bride and groom. It is the recognition and celebration of all the people, connections, and love that weave the tapestry of our lives into one family.

What’s the name of your “First Dance” song & what does it mean to you both?

“If I Should Fall Behind” by Bruce Springsteen

This song carries layers of significance. Bruce Springsteen has always been an important artist for Tom, and has recently become an important artist for Kelly. This song is important to us because it reveals the reality of love. It speaks of lovers who know that on this road we will not always be in stride. The song captures both the individuality and the communal aspect of married life. When either partner strays or falls behind, the song also reminds us to always wait for each other.

Kelly has the most infections smile!

Family formals, don’t always have to be formal.

Sibling Love

With the rain constantly being in & out after the ceremony. I’d like to thank this awesome group of people, for being so easy going. As well, thanks for holding my umbrella & being so helpful. JUST AN AWESOME GROUP OF PEOPLE!!!!

Due to the rain, I had to photograph these lovely ladies indoors. They made the loft area, even more pretty. When you have a gorgeous venue, photographing indoors is always a dream.
